About us
We came to create the Jeffersons Tea Company after a journey of many miles and cups of fine tea. Touching down on Terra Australis on a bright Queensland day in 1982, we were slowly finding our bearings in this new world. It was a journey devoid of the fine teas we had grown accustomed to in the old world. Determination to change the situation - albeit for obvious selfish reasons - grew to the stage where starting a tea-company was presenting itself as the only option. Not wanting to be known as a provider of those sad specks-of-dust, passed off as "Tea", we searched for the "real thing". Something fragrant and alive. Something that makes you feel good. Something wondrous and quite fantastic and healthy. Leaf tea...in all its different forms. Now, more and more people.....living outside metropolis .....finally stand a chance to enrich their lives by sipping an exquisite cup of tea on yet another fine Australian day. With fine teas that will touch your soul.....because there are few hours in life more agreeable than those spent in blissful solitude or with good friends over a good cup of tea.
